Lucky to work in pediatrics.
Honored to support tiny little voices.
With Lucky Little Voices, I provide individualized, play-based, and family-centered therapy to help children reach their full communication potential. Every session is tailored to each child’s strengths and needs, and I partner with families to make therapy meaningful, fun, and effective.
Listen - Guide - Celebrate
I’m Cathryn Dowling, a certified pediatric speech language pathologist, and I feel truly lucky to work in pediatrics. I’ve been providing speech therapy since 2021 and have over four years of experience supporting children and families. I earned my Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from Nazareth College in Rochester, NY and moved to North Carolina in 2023 to continue my passion for helping children reach their full communication potential.
I provide individualized, play-based, and family-centered therapy for children across early intervention, preschool, and school-age settings. I specialize in supporting: children with speech and language delays, late talkers and minimally verbal communicators, children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, articulation & intelligibility challenges, receptive and expressive language delays, children with hearing loss & cochlear implants, and feeding challenges through the SOS Approach to Feeding.
My approach emphasizes connection, empowerment, and celebrating every small success. Every child has a unique voice, and I’m honored to help them be heard.

Specialized Supports
Comprehensive Speech & Language Evaluations
Evaluations are designed to understand your child’s unique communication strengths and needs. Evaluations may assess speech sound production, expressive and receptive language, social communication, and early language development through standardized assessments, play-based observation, and caregiver input. Following the evaluation, families receive a detailed report with results, recommendations, and personalized guidance for supporting their child’s communication growth.
IEP Meeting Support
Providing guidance and support for families navigating the IEP process. This service helps parents better understand evaluation results, therapy recommendations, and school-based services to advocate for their child’s communication needs. Support may include reviewing reports, preparing for meetings, and offering professional insight to help families feel confident during the IEP process.
Individualized Therapy (birth - young adult)
Therapy sessions are tailored to each child’s unique communication needs, strengths, and interests. Through engaging, play-based activities, therapy focuses on developing speech, language, social communication, and overall confidence in communication. Families are supported through collaboration and strategies that help carry progress from therapy into everyday life.
SOS Approach to Feeding
Provides feeding support using the nationally recognized SOS (Sequential Oral Sensory) Approach to Feeding. This evidence-based program helps children build positive relationships with food by addressing sensory, oral-motor, and behavioral factors that impact eating. Therapy focuses on increasing comfort with new foods and developing healthy feeding skills in a supportive, child-led environment.
